Fundraising and Membership Committee Member
/Purpose
As a member of Regina Cat Rescue’s (RCR) Fundraising and Membership Committee, you will help us determine and achieve our fundraising goals to support the organization’s various initiatives.

Responsibilities
Fundraising Committee Members shall:
Recruit, supervise, and meet with the Fundraising committee.
Assist in planning and executing/delegating activities pertaining to fundraising events as needed.
Oversee the promotion of fundraising activities to volunteers and the general public, in collaboration with the Director, Communications and Education.
Work with the Treasurer to ensure that all fundraising activities are conducted in accordance with Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority and other applicable regulations, and that fundraising activities contribute positively to the Corporations’ finances.
Field inquiries from the public regarding volunteer opportunities for fundraising activities and provide guidance and supervision for volunteers participating in fundraising activities.
Provide consistent reporting to the board on fundraising activities and their financial impact
Assess financial success of fundraisers using a cost benefit analysis to determine viability of fundraising activities
Prepare an annual fundraising activity plan and budget for the year to be presented to the board for approval
Maintain an up-to-date membership list
Time Commitment
Attendance at Fundraising and Membership Committee meetings (approximately five to six meetings per year. Meetings are about one to two hours each, plus preparation time)
Attendance at fundraising events, plus preparation time
One-year commitment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Commitment to RCR’s mission
Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Expertise in or willingness to learn about fundraising events, planned giving, stewardship and membership recruitment and retention
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
