Employee Volunteer Grants
Many employers offer Employee Volunteer Grants to organizations where their employees volunteer. Regina Cat Rescue has received grants of up to $1,000 from workplaces that support employee volunteerism. Recent grants include:
Affinity Credit Union (on behalf of Deveny Braun, Kristine Kostyniuk & Jennifer Alzomal)
Canada Life (on behalf of Connie Yasinowski & France Watters)
Farm Credit Canada (on behalf of Adam Tulloch)
Ford Canada (on behalf of Corrine Boivin Englund)
RBC (on behalf of Stephanie Streifel)
SaskCentral Credit Union (on behalf of Stephanie Wood)
SaskGaming (on behalf of Dani Furkert-Aubichon & Derek Zurowski)
SaskPower (on behalf of Alanna Whippler, Jackie Kruger & Rachel Molnar)
With this generous opportunity in mind, we encourage you to ask your employer about grants that may be available as a result of your commitment to RCR.
United Way
During the fall months, many organizations launch fundraising campaigns in support of the United Way, which raises for money for a number of local charities.
While there are a number of charities supported by the United Way, donors are also given the option to direct their donation to a charity of their choice.
If you would like to support Regina Cat Rescue through the United Way campaign in your workplace, all you need to do is designate your donation to Regina Cat Rescue (legal name: People for Animals of Saskatchewan Inc.) and list our charitable registration number: #8996 2599 0RR 0001.
Host your own fundraiser
Third party fundraisers are events coordinated and executed by caring members of the public to benefit RCR. These include home-based, storefront and online sales. These events don’t require the participation of RCR volunteers or resources.
If you’re interested in holding a fundraising event for RCR, please note the following guidelines:
RCR is only able to issue tax receipts for donations of $20 or more that are given directly from a donor to RCR.
RCR is not able to guarantee volunteer support at the event.
The RCR logo is the property of People for Animals of Saskatchewan, Inc. Therefore, the logo may only be used with the expressed permission of RCR. RCR Communications Co-Chairs require final approval of any event material containing the logo.
Third party fundraisers will be listed on our Events page. This page will be promoted through social media and in the RCR monthly e-bulletin. Third party fundraisers that dedicate 100% of the proceeds to RCR (or RCR and other charities) will be promoted through social media.
Sarcan Drop & Go
Drop & Go is a service available at all SARCAN depots in Saskatchewan. It allows customers to skip lineups by leaving their order at the depot and donating their funds to charities like Regina Cat Rescue. Just follow these steps:
At home, separate your recycling – put plastics, cartons and aluminum cans into bags, put glass beverage containers into boxes. Don’t forget to include milk containers!
Visit a SARCAN Depot and look for Drop & Go.
Follow instructions on the screen. Type Regina Cat Rescue when prompted to enter the group phrase.
The amount of your order will be processed and paid directly to Regina Cat Rescue.
Donation Tins
Your extra nickels and dimes can make a difference in the lives of homeless cats and kittens! If you see a RCR donation tin at a Regina business, toss your loose change in. You'll feel lighter, and the kitties will thank you!
If you own a business, contact us to get your very own RCR tin by your till, and join the ever-growing list of businesses that support us through this important program:
