Background
Willis is the offspring of a busy mama and stray family that kept RCR hopping for a while. We helped with several of Willis’ friends over the past year or so including his Mom (Paula) and sister (ILA). It is now time for sweet Willis to shine.
Willis was rescued from a very busy location known for a high number of strays and abandoned cats. He was visited daily by a dedicated RCR volunteer & community cat feeder where he was given food/water and reassuring words that life was going to get better for him. Most of the time he was found residing in the shelter box RCR provided for him under the steps of the home that once let him in.
Willis is a beautiful soul who’s gentle spirit didn’t take long to shine in foster care and he came around much quicker than expected.Willis is a shy guy but warms up to people quickly, is full of affection and loves to play. Despite his shyness, he is keen to socialize and will push himself to be brave and get out of his comfort zone to do so. Willis isn’t very into being carried around but loves belly rubs and chin scratches, and lets you know with his big deep purrs. Willis loves toys, especially a string or fishing rod and can chase them around all evening, or is also just as happy to curl up and snooze on the couch with you. He loves his wet food and will give you cute chirps to remind you it’s supper time or when he wants to play. Willis is very skittish around groups and other strangers and takes a while to get used to noises and routines in a new place. For the first few weeks in his current foster home he would spend most of the day under the bed and only come out in the evenings, but has slowly gotten more and more settled in. He became noticeably more confident being out and about more when he started cohabitating with his new foster brother Stallone. He now follows his foster mom around the house everywhere, keeping her company as she works, and enjoys cuddling and playing with Stallone.
How could anyone resist Willis!
