Volunteer Coordinator

Purpose

As Volunteer Coordinator for Regina Cat Rescue (RCR), you will manage volunteer relations and help RCR volunteers feel valued.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and generate volunteer opportunities in line with the mission, vision and values of Regina Cat Rescue.

  • Coordinate the recruitment and scheduling of volunteers.

  • Clearly communicate volunteer roles and responsibilities.

  • Provide opportunities for volunteers to provide feedback that celebrate successes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate events and initiatives that ensure volunteers feel appreciated and supported.

  • Liaise between the board and volunteers.

  • Provide the board with advice and feedback on volunteer management, recruitment and retention.

  • Availability via email for consultation and feedback

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Commitment to RCR's mission

  • Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

  • Some computer skills, for database management

  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively

  • Ability to motivate volunteers and ensure they feel extremely valued
