PFA E-Bulletin, Volume 29 (October 2013)
/FERAL CAT FOOD DRIVE ON UNTIL OCTOBER 31
PFA is holding a cat food drive throughout the month of October. Help us replenish our supply of food for cats in our care. The feral team alone uses up to 500 lbs of cat food each month. With winter around the corner, feral cats will need more nutrition to boost their immune systems and keep energy levels high enough to stay warm. Our wish list includes high-quality dry cat and kitten food, canned cat and kitten food and kitten formula. We request high-quality food because the lower-quality foods (e.g. no-name brand) contain corn, fillers and other by-products that have a negative impact on cats' long-term health. The following donations are also appreciated: clumping litter, cat toys, Canadian Tire money (used to help purchase needed items) and gift cards to local stores where pet supplied can be purchased. Drop off your donations at Pet Valu (Grasslands) at 4662 Gordon Road or 167 Bothwell Crescent in Regina. For more information about National Feral Cat Day, visit http://nationalferalcatday.org.
