Background

Poor Kenga is a sweet senior who has experienced more turmoil in her "golden years" than she did in the first 10 years of her life, but she is a trooper! Surrendered back to the rescue 6 years ago, Kenga was meant to be a long-term foster for a kind person in need of companionship. They enjoyed 5 happy years together before he had to go to assisted living. Thankfully, another kind soul stepped up to foster Kenga and she continues to do very well.

Kenga is a sweet, affectionate and laid back cat who has rolled with the cards life has dealt her. She would love life as an only cat, but is doing just fine with the other cat in her foster home. Kenga is not overly active and enjoys chilling in a cozy spot and accepting pets and cuddles. She is simply seeking a cozy and quiet home and above all a stable home where she can finally enjoy life as a golden girl!

Background

Felix and Boo are a shy but sweet bonded pair who came into care in 2022 as 8 week old feral kittens who were living with their mother and additional siblings in the backyard of a kind lady who was unable to house the little family. Sadly, one day the mother cat went missing and never returned. It took much time and patience to rescue Felix and Boo as they were quite feral. Life was difficult in the beginning and the kittens were very fortunate to have been rescued.  Patience, love and dedication led to success and these two beautiful girls are now ready to go together to their forever home!  They are sweet but shy cats that would do best in a home with no other pets.

Boo is a sleek midnight black kitty with a small patch of white on her belly, and big beautiful golden eyes. Even her little whiskers are black!  She is very soft and plush. Boo is a bit shy but warms up very quickly. She loves to cuddle on her Foster Dad's bed and loves tummy rubs and lots of attention.  Boo also likes to sit and cuddle while watching TV.  Boo loves to play with her toys, especially her toy balls, playing with her string toys both alone and with Felix.  She likes to follow her foster Dad around the house.  She loves her sister Felix dearly, they cuddle and often sleep together.

Felix is a classic tuxedo who has  big beautiful golden eyes. She is also very soft and plush.  Felix has taken a lot of dedication to build her trust.  When she is resting in a safe spot she enjoys petting on her head.  She has made so much progress since her rescue. Felix is still quite reserved but yet is very brave!  She likes to explore and is far more curious than Boo. Felix likes to play with her sister Boo, especially with toy strings, toilet paper rolls. She loves interactive toys and if you ball up a paper she loves to capture and play with them.  With her sister and the love of a forever home, Felix will continue to come out of her shell.

Felix and Boo are ready to go to their forever home together.

Background

Stunning Griffin is one of RCR’s first rescue friends of 2024! He was discovered fending for himself as a street warrior when residents of his community started seeing his sweet face pop up more and more in the neighbourhood and they were concerned for his safety. An RCR adoptee just happened to live near the location and also reached out for help with his plight With their help and dedication, Griffin was able to get the help / vet care he needed, landing into the safety of RCR and a partner vet clinic.

Griffin is a unique fellow with  a “V” cut out in his right eye that is most likely due to his time on the streets. This is part of his cute characteristics! While Griffin is fostered in a multi pet home he has not had a lot of exposure to the existing animals in the home. He displays some aggression in this regard and with food the foster states. The foster home has the best of intentions when it comes to integration. With patience and proper introductions, Griffin could thrive in any environment. He has a sweet lil rescue tails story💕
