Background

Geena and her siblings were found at a VERY busy location for strays, especially kittens, during the fall of 2023. A private citizen with a feeding station reached out for help when she determined that she was feeding several mothers and kittens. Their mama cat was found deceased in the feeding station and was likely hit by a car but the little kittens were doing their best to survive. They were rescued and placed in foster care. Geena was very shy at first, but has really flourished in care and is ready for a forever family of her own.

Geena is a sweet and playful young cat who is a bit shy and will require time and patience to allow her to warm up. Once she does, her lucky adopter will have an amazing cat in their hands. Geena enjoys being held and petted and shows it with big purrs, leaning into your hand. She learned that this was okay from her foster sibling. She loves to chase things that are sliding across the floor, regardless of what it is. She also likes to greet her foster family when they get home. She is well integrated into her multi-pet foster home and likes to spend time with people and pets. Geena does gain confidence from her feline friends and would do well with a family with an existing cat or kitten.

Background

Patrick is a handsome and charming fellow who was rescued around St. Patrick's Day, hence his name. He was a long time stray who was being cared for by kind citizens for over a year but was too shy to be scooped. One day he appeared with an injury and they took advantage of the opportunity to scoop him and get him into care.

Patrick has had a rough go of things and we had to hold off on neutering him and preparing him for adoption due to some health concerns. Thankfully, Patrick has prevailed and is a healthy and happy fellow looking for a loving forever home. He can be a bit shy at first after his time on the streets but ultimately he is a big loverboy!  He loves his people time and loves  to be attached at the hip to his foster dad! Patrick is a sweet and affectionate fellow who is super happy in foster care and grateful to be off the street. He is a laid back cat but he will need a gradual introduction to new pets as per best practices for pet integration.

Background

Phoenix is a total sweetheart who came into care after his rescuer reached out. She was concerned about his low weight and some drooling. A vet revealed that poor Phoenix had severe dental disease and a bad bacterial infection in his left ear. We were challenged to ease his suffering as Phoenix had to have the ear infection resolved before he was able to have dental surgery. This poor fellow is left with just a few incisors, the rest of his teeth are gone. Phoenix came into care already neutered, but with no ID, he was posted as found but sadly no-one came forward to claim him. Thankfully, he tested negative for the Feline Immunodeficiency virus and Feline Leukemia and he is now shipshape and ready for a loving home!

Despite a very rough start, Phoenix is a lovely and affectionate cat who would make a great addition to a cat loving family, with or without other pets. This handsome boy is the definition of confidence. Friendly and laid-back, he is the ultimate “people cat” for cat people and loves laying the center of any room watching what everyone is doing or joining you on the couch for some TV. Phoenix is now the picture of health and is a normal weight, and has even become vocal! Phoenix is being fostered with other cats and doesn’t hesitate to join them at meal times or sharing the couch for an afternoon snooze. He also enjoys watching the birds and squirrels with the resident cats in their “catio” or in the enclosed back yard when the weather is nice.

While he gets a thrill out of chasing things that move quickly, he has yet to figure out that not all cats know he is just play chasing. He does well with the other confident, laid-back resident cats, but the more timid ones find his bold confidence and occasional bursts of energy a little unnerving.

Phoenix also seems very accustomed to routine household activities. And, in contrast to vet trips with her other cats, Phoenix seems curious and intrigued by car trips, sitting on his foster mom’s lap watching the scenery fly by out the car window, rather than scared by it all. At the vet, he walks around confidently on his harness and sits patiently during the exam. The vet even commented on his nice, even temperament despite the procedures.
