Background

Brook and his siblings were living stray on the street at unmanaged cat colony that turned into one of the biggest rescue undertakings RCR has ever taken on: An Urgent Plea for Help — Regina Cat Rescue. Thankfully we were able to rescue the litter of 4 and place them into foster care where they have thrived and are now ready for their furrever homes.

Brook is a wonderful little kitten who gets along great with dogs and other cats. While he was a bit scared at first, which is perfectly understandable given his rough start, Brook has blossomed into a sweet, playful and adventurous little guy who will make an amazing family pet. Brook loves his pets and snuggles and is always up for some play time and exploring. Once you are his friend, he will love you for life. Brook is a bit shy with new people so please be prepared to give him some time to adjust. You will be rewarded with a BFF for life!

Background

Say hello to AJ, he along with his sister Winny came into RCR's care in the summer of 2022 when he was 6 months old.Even being a little on the old side to to be socialized, one look at his frostbitten ear was enough to convince the RCR volunteers that trapped him he would be worth the time it would take to socialize him.

It did not take young AJ long to realize that life indoors was way better than life in an old uninsulated shed where he had been born (& lost the tip of his ear to frostbite).  AJ is the leader of the pack among the younger cats in his busy foster home but would benefit from a home that could give him some undivided attention, especially in the beginning. He is a social boy but would rather socialize with the many cats in his foster home than with people. This doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy playing (he is kind of a toy hog) and when food or treats are around, it is no holds barred, he muscles his way in to make sure he gets his fair share.

While he is not a cuddly cat (at least not at the moment) if he were in a home where he didn't have several other young cats his own age to play with we think he would become more of a "people cat" as he is a very social boy. We do need to stress though that it will take effort on your part.  The reward however will be well worth the effort as young Mr. AJ is not only handsome, he also has a great personality.

Background

Meet Winny, she is a stunning little dilute tortie who has a very delightful little squeak for a voice. She started life out in a bedroom community close to Regina. Our volunteers were trying to help a kind woman trap her mother as well as her and her sibling. Her mother eluded capture but little Miss Winny and her brother AJ became wards of RCR.

Being a little older when she was trapped she has retained some of her street "survival" instincts and is slow to trust. She would really like a home where her people will be patient and allow her to adjust on her own terms.  Sadly even though she is very comfortable in her foster home with her foster mom and all of her foster siblings when someone new comes over she heads for the basement and hides behind the washing machine. However, once she is comfortable with you she is quite vocal, especially around meal time, in her tiny squeaky voice she is quite demanding of her share of the soft food and when the treats and toys come out she does get braver.

Her adoptive home will have to contain her for a while and spend time with her gaining her trust, once they have it they will have not only a very beautiful little cat but a cherished family member as well.
