Sweet, sweet Leroy Brown...

frozen leroy

Leroy is a sweet cat who was rescued in distress when a volunteer came across him sick and frozen with a bad upper respiratory infection. The poor fellow was so sick that he literally had mucous frozen to his nose upon rescue.

He was taken to a vet and assessed with an upper respiratory infection and prescribed antibiotics before being placed in foster care. He was so happy to be safe and warm that he ran for the cozy cat bed and settled in for a stress-free nap!

This sweet boy is making friends and charming humans at every turn and we are so happy that he’s safe and off the streets.

We look forward to help this wonderful fellow find his forever home once he’s ready!

Whisper and Cibrina Rescued in the Nick of Time

cibrina upon rescue

It's been a tough year so far for rescues and the early onset of winter didn’t help our cause. Due to capacity limitations, cats are remaining on the street longer and that means they may need extra work when they finally into care. Beautiful Cibrina (seal point) and Whisper ( lynx point) were on the radar screen for months after they were left homeless due to a suspected house fire, but we just didn’t have the ability to take them in until recently. They are timid kitties that need some patience and TLC.

whisper is scared, but she is a trooper!

Thankfully, we were able to get these sweet girls into care recently before any severe cold sets in. We are grateful to the kind people that stepped up to foster a couple of street kitties who are wary of people but are deserving of the good life!

Cibrina is doing well and will be ready for a forever home of her own in no time. She’s even made fast friends with the resident dog!

Whisper is a bit more timid and may take longer, but we know she will get there with the diligent help of her foster home.

whisper is figuring out life in foster care

RCR is grateful to the foster families who stepped up to help these beautiful cats. As always, please visit our website for information about adopting, volunteering, or donating: www.reginacatrescue.com
