Background

After spending the first 10 years of her life with an elderly woman that loved her, Lizzie had to be given up when the move to a special care home would not allow pets. Lizzie was placed in foster care and has slowly adjusted to her new living situation.

When Lizzie first arrived she was very over weight, but with a diligent foster mom, and a diet perscribed by the vet, Lizzie has begun to shed her unwanted extra pounds. Lizzie is a very maternal girl and quickly took the 2 younger foster kittens under her wing helping them adjust to life in a foster home. Because of her mothering nature, Lizzie would do well in a forever home with a younger kitten to take under her wing and grow old with.

Lizzie enjoys getting attention from her foster mom too. Pets and chin scratches are definitely on Lizzie's list of enjoyable things to do in the evening. Though Lizzie is not a spring chicken, she still has a lot of life left to live, and with a family who will love her, she will have lots of love to give in return.
