Ophelia
/Adopted September 25th, 2010
This stunning young female tabby cat is Ophelia, PFA's very own version of a Shakespearean tragedy. Ophelia was rescued along with her 3 tiny babies hiding in a cardboard box in the garage of a home hosting a large colony of feral cats that were in the middle of a much needed sterilization blitz. She was quickly placed into foster care where we supported her the best we could, but ultimately she and her kittens were very sick from upper respiratory illness and the babies didn't make it.
Ophelia went through considerable trauma in her early life but since the loss of her kittens, she has made a tremendous comeback. She is an extremely affectionate cat who insists on keeping you company throughout the day and even at night as she snuggles under the covers to sleep. She's still a bit jumpy from life on the street, but that will clear up with time, understanding and affection. She has an air of confidence about her and she has no problem with the dogs or the other cats and adapted to them very quickly. She seems to be attracted to black male cats in her foster home!
Ophelia has been spayed and vaccinated, and is ready to join a loving forever home.
