Background

Alyx and family were a harrowing rescue for RCR after we were contacted by a couple of concerned citizens who were worried about an abandoned house that appeared to be housing at least one cat in need of help: Harrowing Rescue Yields Tiny Family Into Care — Regina Cat Rescue

It was a bizarre and concerning situation but our volunteer was able to access the property and rescue Alyx and her litter of 5 kittens just days before the property was demolished. The little family has thrived in foster care and wonderful mama Alyx is ready for a loving forever home of her own. She is good with children and can adapt to dogs and cats with a gradual introduction.

Alyx is  easy going, independent, playful and talkative!  She is 100% integrated with her loving foster family and is great with other cats with proper integration. Alyx has a great appetite and like many rescues who have gone hungry, she is never late for supper.

After successfully raising 5 babies in one of the worst situations RCR has encountered, Alyx is definitely ready to be a pet cat again. Her true cat spirit shone through when she realized she didn't have to do it on her own anymore. Alyx is a fun loving girl ready for a good time with her forever family and would be great in a home with children.
