Background
It's hard for RCR volunteers to believe that we are approaching the one year mark since we rescued sweet Treasure. It was December 2022 when we received an urgent request for help from a kind person in the rural Regina area who had come across a frozen kitten on a lonely country road. She took the kitten home with her and contacted RCR for help and thus began Treasure's story. This poor cat has endured a lot on her way to a forever home: upon rescue her ears were frozen and her tail was dead and necrotic and had to be amputated. She also required surgery to correct a luxating patella ( kneecap) and has recovered well. It has been a long haul but we are pleased to place Treasure for adoption and are looking for the perfect forever home!
Treasure is a darling young lady who has been a trooper throughout her ordeals - and it's been a lot but she's taken it all in stride. This sweet kitty is friendly, affectionate and good with children and other cats. She fit into her foster home seamlessly and has been a source of joy despite her many challenges. Treasure is a survivor who will bring a positive attitude and endless love and affection to her lucky adoptive family.
