Background

Gilbert is a handsome stray who was rescued after a kind citizen spotted him limping and bleeding.  It turned out that he had an abscessed nail that had gotten infected and a terrible case of ear mites. When he wasn't claimed, Gilbert was placed into foster care and has been recovering nicely from his injury. He is ready for a  home to call his own.

Gilbert is a good natured and friendly fellow who quickly captured the heart of his foster mom. He's a sweet and easygoing guy who enjoys the safety, warmth and regular meals in foster care, as well as a cozy perch with a view. He loves being with people and is excellent with children. Gilbert quickly recovered from his injury and is a healthy and happy cat  with much love to offer his forever family. Gilbert is fostered as an only cat and will need a gradual introduction to other animals, per best practices for pet integration.
