Background
Handsome Gus has a sad tale that is sure to tug on your heartstrings. This poor fellow was dumped on a farm and left to fend for himself. Recognizing that Gus’ a tame cat not cut out for life in the barn, the farm family rescued him and took him for vet care, where it was discovered that Gus was positive for FIV. Desperate to see Gus have a future, they reached out to Regina Cat Rescue for help.
Gus’ a sweet, charming and easygoing cat who’s living large and loving life in his foster home. He can be a bit shy in new situations as he was kept in isolation with his original rescuers due to misunderstanding about FIV, but once he knows you, you’re his best friend for life! Gus’ a true lovebug who’s happy to be with people and he loves to play and explore despite being nine years of age. He’s young at heart! Gus has had a rough life, but he hasn't let it get him down. He's social, loving and so happy for his second chance. He just needs someone to give him that chance!
