Background
Before he was even born, Yoki found himself homeless and living a life of mere survival because his Momma was dumped in a resort community near Regina after she became pregnant. Thankfully, Yoki’s mom was very resourceful, and when she came across a vacationing couple she felt she could trust, Yoki’s mom moved her family of three kittens to the vacationing couples cabin. The couple provided for the feline family while they made arrangements with RCR to bring the family into foster care.
Having spent the first 5 weeks of his life without human interaction has meant that Yoki has had to learn to trust humans. He adores his foster mom but when new people come by he is very shy and unsure of the newcomers. The great news is that with a little time and some understanding, Yoki does come and hang out with the visitors. He enjoys spending his evenings curled up on the couch beside his foster mom while he gets pets and chin scratches. Yoki is not a fan of being held, but he loves chin rubs and will lay beside his foster mom as long as she’s willing to give them.
Yoki is fostered in a home with several other cats of varying ages and has made friends with all of them. Games of chase up and down the basement stairs and around the scratching posts definitely top Yoki’s list of fun things to do. He is also being fostered with a high energy dog and though the dog can get over excited and frighten him, Yoki does enjoy spending time curled up with the dog. He will be a great addition to any home with four-legged furry friends.
