Background

Olivander was rescued by a Regina Cat Rescue volunteer when she ran out into her backyard in the middle of the night to break up a cat fight, and found a young male cat who appeared to have gotten the worst of it. When he was taken to the vet, it was discovered that the battle wounds were minor, but the poor cat was already suffering from a fractured pelvis, which was causing him pain.

Luckily, Olivander was already healing well and the fracture was not affecting his ability to bear weight on his limbs, so he was given pain medication and sent to a foster home where he recovered nicely. Olivander is a friendly and affectionate young fellow who likes attention and affection. His movement had to be limited while he was healing, but he made the best of it and enjoyed looking out the window. As his healing progresses, he is gradually becoming more active and playful and is ready for a home of his own. Olivander definitely needs to be an indoor cat so that he is not a risk for further injury.
