Background

Chris was found alone and freezing outside during the cold Saskatchewan winter (read more about his rescue here). His exposure to the extreme temperatures caused severe frostbite which resulted in the amputation of his rear left paw, three toes on his rear right paw and his tail. His ears also suffered from frostbite. But little Chris is a fighter and has adapted to his new life.

Chris is a very sweet cat who loves chin scratches, pets and head rubs. He enjoys snuggling up with his foster mom at night and chasing and wrestling with the resident cats during the day. He's playful too and enjoys pouncing on and batting around his toy mice. Chris is a shy with unfamiliar people, but once he knows you, he will gladly accept all the love on offer.

Chris has some limitations. With the amputations to his rear paws, he isn't able to climb or jump like a typical cat. He does race and bunny hop around and would do best in a carpeted home that it is a little easier on his limbs.
