Background

Russell Martin was a lonely, beat-up and starving stray when a kind citizen discovered him scrounging for food and began to care for him as an outdoor cat.  With winter coming, she was worried for his safety and contacted RCR for help. Russell was in pretty rough shape upon rescue, full of scabs and scars from his life on the streets and in desperate need of dental care and above all, some TLC.

Just like his namesake of the Toronto Blue Jays, this guy is a winner. Within a day he had settled in to his foster home and made friends with the two dogs and cats, and also bonded with the humans in his foster family.  Russell is so easy going and affectionate that he makes friends with everyone that meets him.
