Background

Murray has had a hard life. He was living as a stray around an apartment complex where stray cats are not welcome and he was at risk of being put down. Regina Cat Rescue was contacted to take him in so he wouldn’t be euthanized simply for being a stray cat.

Murray is a wonderful fellow who is feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) positive.   Cats with FIV can live long, comfortable lives - you can learn more about FIV here.  Murray is being fostered in a multi-pet house hold and loves curling up with the kittens that are his foster siblings.  Recent research shows that it is safe to have FIV positive cats in houses with FIV negative cats - read about it here.

Murray is friendly, and is only too happy to bask in attention and kindness. He doesn't like being held but will accept all the chin scratches you can offer. After growing up as a stray, he is learning to play with toys, and enjoys chasing the laser light.  Come bedtime, Murray can be found laying in the middle of his foster mom's bed so that he gets in his night time belly rubs before turning in for the night.

Murray’s got a second chance at life - now all he wants is a forever home where he can enjoy it!
