Background
Joey was found stray, hungry and injured on the Easter weekend, and taken to a local vet clinic where the staff immediately fell in love with him, and a vet took care of his injuries. Sadly, Joey is positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) due to the serious wounds he received while fending for himself as a stray. Cats with FIV can live long, comfortable lives with proper care, and can also even live with other cats. You can learn more about FIV here. Joey is a friendly and affectionate fellow who is always up for a chin scratch or cuddle. He loves to be with people, and fit into his foster home immediately. Joey is a very well-behaved and gentle cat, although he does get excited about meal time. Mostly he likes to hang out on the couch and receives pets.
If you look into his beautiful green eyes, you may just become smitten like everyone that has met Joey!
