Background
Abbey found herself homeless, hungry and pregnant and desperate for a safe place to give birth. She eventually made a home under the front porch of a house on a very busy street. Luckily a caring man spotted this beautiful girl one day and began to feed her and earn her trust. When he realized that she was crossing the busy street to get to his house, and that she had 4 babies she was caring for, he contacted RCR for help getting the family a forever home.
After living on the streets as a stray, there were concerns that Abbey would take a long time to learn to trust strangers. There didn't need to be any worry. It didn't take Abbey long to adjust to life in a home again, and she quickly came out of her shell and became very affectionate with her foster mom. Abbey will happily run up to any visitors to get pets and cuddles from them and is happy to snuggle up beside her foster mom just to be close.
