Hawksley Needs Your Help!

This adorable kitten is Hawksley, a 4 month old male who was rescued on one of the coldest days of the year with -30 temps and wind chills. He was found in the early morning hours with his poor little paws literally encased in ice.

He had frostbite on the tips of his ears and all 4 paws, however, one paw in particular was very swollen and especially painful, and has been a cause of concern.

Sadly, after a week of observation and medication, it has been determined that the little guy will need to have his leg amputated.

Hawksley is a sweet and spunky kitten who loves to cuddle, nuzzle and kiss his foster mom and to play with other cats. He hasn't let the injury slow him down, but he has been in a lot of pain despite medication prescribed to help him.

We are sad that this beautiful and innocent little guy has to suffer such a  tragic injury so early in his life, but we are determined to give him the best chance possible to find a loving home that will cherish him for life.

For now, he is in an caring foster home and getting excellent care. But his leg needs to be amputated  soon as the tissue on his paw is dying and causing him pain.

This is an expensive surgery for PFA in the midst of a busy winter trying to get cats off the street and prevent exactly this sort of suffering. We would appreciate any help that we can get towards this little guy's care.
