There but For The Grace of God...
/This sickly and bedraggled looking little calico cat is Grace, a 7 year old female who was rescued from the cold late yesterday, frozen to the ground, debris stuck to her face from a goopy eye infection, starving and so weak she could barely move.
A kind citizen near one of our feeding stations took her in and provided first aid, and contacted us for help in getting this poor little cat the urgent help she required.
First thing this morning Grace was raced to a vet clinic, and was given a good prognosis along with much needed fluids, antibiotics, a shave, and most importantly, some TLC that she really needed.
Grace is a very calm and affectionate kitty, full of purrs and gratitude to be safe, fed and warm.
As of late today she was resting comfortably, and eating and drinking well. We are very grateful to have an offer to foster Grace already, where we know she will get the love and care she needs to help her make a full recovery.
Grace is the kind of cat that inspires the street work that PFA focuses on, and we are happy we could be there for this sweet girl.
